FBA Podcast: Transforming Sangha

By Sadayasihi on Sat, 9 Nov, 2019 - 14:00

Sanghamani with a great second talk from the 2019 Triratna International Gathering. Her theme on this Alchemy of the Dharma weekend is how we can transform ourselves in order to transform our communities. And she leads with fearlessness in discussing her own work and practice in this regard.

As a fundraiser at the cutting edge of the practice of connection – trying to forge a sense of mutually vital relationship with strangers (who are not necessarily...

Buddhafield is hiring!

By ruthlove on Fri, 18 Oct, 2019 - 11:36

Buddhafield is looking to move forward in its evolution. We want to consolidate by buying a property that can house a community (including families), our office space, all our kit and vehicles, and be a central meeting place for us.

We need a fundraiser to help us raise the money to make this vision a reality and to create a place where all aspects of life and practice are integrated. You’ll be working alongside the Buddhafield...

Les travaux ont commencé ! The building work has started!

By Vassika on Tue, 18 Jun, 2019 - 15:04

I visited the Centre yesterday and already walls had disappeared and there was rubble everywhere! It’s very exciting to see the space changing shape.

Now I’m busy thinking about floors, kitchen units, paints and lighting…

I’m delighted to say that we have managed to pass the half-way mark with our fundraising, which is very encouraging, but we still need help to reach our target.

If you’d like to participate, please have a look at our fundraising page or centrebouddhisteparis [at] gmail.com...

By Sadayasihi on Mon, 6 May, 2019 - 12:44

In this short film Aryanita, the current Chair, and Vassika, the former Chair, give us an update on their search for a new home for the Paris Buddhist Centre. A lovely, light, spacious place has been found in a peaceful part of Paris, around the corner from a beautiful park. The purchase will be complete in May and building work will start to transform it from a doctors’ surgery into a Buddhist Centre, with the plan for it to...

It was such a significant part of my life for around 8 years, coinciding with my ordination process and it feels hard to separate the two out. I feel so fortunate to have worked for a charity that combined my interest in International Development with the Dharma.

I never ever would have...

50 Years, 50 Voices: Amalavajra and Jayaraja

By Satyalila on Wed, 26 Sep, 2018 - 19:15

It’s a practice for the fundraiser and it’s a practice for the potential donor… a sort-of cremation ground in the Padmasambhava sense.

Amalavajra’s Annals

In 1968 I was not even a gleam in my Dad’s eye, because he wasn’t to meet my Mum for another two years, on a ferry to a twenty-something villa holiday in Sicily.
