Meet (some of) the team at Dharmachakra!
As a dedicated Right Livelihood charity we’ve been making thoughtful Buddhist web spaces and creating original Dharma content online on behalf of the Triratna Buddhist Community for over 15 years, starting with Free Buddhist Audio.
Since The Buddhist Centre Online launched in 2013, we’ve been helping build a different kind of web platform to promote participation in Buddhist community throughout the wide and diverse Triratna world. And with the launch in 2020 of The Dharma Toolkit we’ve extended that core vision to encompass daily communal meditation and live Dharma classes and events, all on a global scale.
The internet is such a big part of many of our lives now, and we want to see something emerge that opens up possibilities for using it without compromising our Buddhist ethical values or getting caught up in distraction.
We think it’s possible to use technology wisely to support what we already do well at our Buddhist Centres (friendship, meditation, Dharma reflection) and to offer new ways for mindful, positive and useful engagement with an amazing tool that can really help us connect with others, sharing Dharma resources and inspiration.
