Ikkyū's Motto

From Triratna East Surrey on Sat, 30 Jul, 2016 - 10:42

The import of Ikkyū’s motto is that anyone can be saintly in refined conditions, but the real challenge is to achieve enlightenment in the midst of the world’s suffering, greed and hatred.

Ikkyu (1394-1481) was renowned for pointing out the hypocrisy of institutional Buddhism as well as a renowned poet.

Map Of Wymondham Campus

From Combined Order Convention 2016 on Tue, 19 Jul, 2016 - 20:00
