Welcome to Western Buddhist Review

The Western Buddhist Review (WBR) is the free, on-line, peer-reviewed scholarly journal of the Triratna Buddhist Order and community. The purpose of the Review is to provide a forum for longer articles exploring all aspects of the theory and practice of Buddhism, and especially to explore the translation of traditional Buddhist concerns into the language and outlook of modern western Buddhism. True to its name, the Review will increasingly feature shorter reviews of books, films, performances and so on. We welcome submissions of articles and reviews by Order members, Mitras and friends of the Triratna Buddhist community.

Click on ‘resources’ to view and download Volume 5 (published in 2010) of the WBR. Older volumes available via www.westernbuddhistreview.com. Click on ‘follow’ to be notified of new articles or reviews. Information for contributors and publishers can be found under ‘events’. You can contact Dhivan, editor of the WBR, at editor@westernbuddhistreview.com.
