Into Spring: Towards New Life in the Mind

Posted by bhpruitt to Portsmouth Buddhist Center on Fri, 9 Mar, 2018 - 15:08

Our new series: Sundays in March and April, 9.30am-12pm
Passing from one season to the next, we are reminded of the constancy of change. The freshening and new growth of springtime connects us with the positive, potentially joyous, aspects of this reality. From now through April, as we witness the reawakening of the natural world around us, we will explore seven qualities of an awakened mind:

  • mindfulness
  • self-reflection
  • energy
  • joy
  • tranquility
  • clear awareness
  • equanimity.

And we will learn to sit with awareness that both ugliness and beauty...
