Happy Birthday, Bhante Sangharakshita!

By Munisha on Tue, 26 Aug, 2014 - 18:00Our founder and teacher, Urgen Sangharakshita, celebrates his 89th birthday today. The event falls on the first full day of the European Women’s Order Convention, being held at Adhisthana.

Many happy returns, Bhante.

By Vidyatara on Mon, 4 Aug, 2014 - 16:59One year on from its opening, Adhisthana - the spiritual home of the Triratna Community - is about to enter an exciting new phase in its development. Since the doors opened at the beginning of August 2013, we have hosted more than 50 retreats, meetings and courses for over 1000 members of the Order and Movement, some of whom have travelled from as far away as Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, the US and Canada.

To mark the first anniversary of the opening weekend, we present a picture show: Adhisthana at high summer.

Amid Herefordshire’s wonderful landscape, the Sangharakshita Memorial Library is gradually taking shape. The building will eventually house Bhante’s library and an exhibition space.

Adhisthana launches intensive women's and men’s Dharma Training Courses

By lokabandhu on Thu, 23 Jan, 2014 - 10:59Vidyaruchi writes with news of two full-time intensive Dharma Training Courses being launched at Adhisthana, Triratna’s new retreat centre near Malvern, UK. The first, a five-month course for women, begins in February. It will be followed by a similar course for men, running from September 2014 to January 2015. He says -
