Order Convention 2018, First Evening - Welcome, Greeting New Order Members, Dedication Ceremony

We were welcomed by Lokeshvara and Parami, made the seven traditional offerings (water to drink, water to wash, a flower, a candle, incense, perfumed water, food), performed the dedication ceremony, and greeted all the new Order members ordained since 2016, as well as remembering and honouring those who have left the Order or passed away since then. And as we closed the first evening we drifted out into the Indian night chanting the mantra of Avalokiteshvara, whose thousand-armed form is the great symbol of...

Sangharakshita's diary

From Triratna News on Mon, 5 Feb, 2018 - 12:55

Bhante’s December largely followed a similar rhythm, being very quite with a slowing down...

Led by Dhīvan and Sāgaramati

This study retreat marks the first led by the newly-initiated Triratna Scholars’ Network. Rainbows in the Sky - a new piece of writing by Sangharakshita

From Community Highlights on Fri, 2 Feb, 2018 - 11:32

In this piece completed on 22 January 2018, Sangharakshita recalls rainbows from his childhood days through to his Going Forth in 1947 and most recently as appeared over Adhisthana on his ninetieth birthday. And he affirms the place of Padmasambhava - the Rainbow-bodied one - in the life of the Order from the very beginning, and explains that a remark he made in 2009 about a re-founding of the Order “can only be in...

Meditation sessions begin at 2:30pm ET / 7:30pm UK on Google Hangout, and the series will be on the following dates:
