A Fundraiser for Vancouver Buddhist Centre

By Centre Team on Fri, 25 Nov, 2022 - 14:22

Vancouver Buddhist Centre has been dependent on the generosity of its pledgers for many years. Sadly, it was financially impossible to keep the doors open during the pandemic. Placing all their belongings in storage and letting go of the physical centre. Losing many of their pledgers, as well as, income from classes and retreats in the process.

“For my oh-so 6th decade birthday, I want to raise $1000 for every year I have completed on this planet. This amount will

Building a Safe and Supportive Place for Dharma Practice

“Imagine that you lived in well-functioning society which slowly fell apart at the seams. Hyper-inflation sent prices for food, petrol, and other basic items spirally to astronomic levels.

A loaf of bread now costs what you would have bought a car for a few years ago.

Friends and loved ones have left in search of better futures, bound for countries resistant to immigrants. Those left behind scrape by with whatever means they can.”

The Triratna Order and Community have been present in Valencia for more than 30 years. From simple beginnings the sangha has grown and become a feature of the life of the city, offering a chance to discover and explore the benefits of meditation on its own or in the context of a more committed Buddhist practice. Over the years the Valencia Buddhist Centre has reached many people with the Buddha’s teaching.

Support the Valencia sangha with a donation.

The Valencia Buddhist centre has also been a base for outreach and connection farther...
