Buddha Day Offerings From The Goddess of the Spring

By Candradasa on Sat, 2 Jun, 2018 - 08:10

To mark the great festival of Buddha Day (Wesak), when we celebrate the Enlightenment and its opening up of the path that leads to the end of suffering, here’s a wonderful mythologically minded conversation with Sthanashraddha, self-confessed ritualist and all-round lover of beauty and of the Dharma as an aesthetic choice in itself.

Mantras (Audio)

By Centre Team on Sun, 17 Jul, 2016 - 23:42

Musical notation and an article about how to approach mantras and their chanting will follow soon from him, but, at the bottom of this page, you’ll find a short explanation about the mantras and the musical “principles” behind them.

With many thanks to Vipulakirti and all the chanters!

Some of the names and businesses referred to may have changed since this was produced.

The ‘Bodhichitta’ is sometimes rendered as the ‘will to Enlightenment’ or the ‘heart-mind of Enlightenment’ - signifying the complete dedication of our efforts to cultivate wisdom and compassion, in line with the Buddha’s teachings, making no distinction between our own well-being and that of others. In that sense the development of Bodhichitta is...
