At the London Buddhist Centre we teach meditation, Buddhism and yoga in a way that is relevant to contemporary life.
Learn to Meditate
You can learn to meditate at one of our drop-in meditation classes, by attending a meditation course or by going on retreat. We teach two Buddhist meditation practices, the Mindfulness of Breathing, which enhances our awareness and peace of mind, and the Metta Bhavana - the cultivation of loving-kindness.
We run regular introductory Buddhism courses where you can learn the essential message of the Buddha, a message which you can then explore more deeply at subsequent classes,courses and retreats.
Yoga for meditation
A whole range of new yoga classes to for developing strength and flexibility and supporting your meditation practice. Regular drop-in classes at lunchtimes and in the early evening, plus day events. Find out more here.
Health and Wellbeing
We teach Mindfulness Based Approaches that help prevent relapse into depression and addiction and to manage stress and anxiety. For details visit the Breathing Space Website
In addition to our evening and weekend classes and courses, the London Buddhist centre reception and bookshop are open Monday to Saturday from 10.00 am until 5.00 pm. The bookshop stocks, Buddhist books, cards, rupas, malas, meditation CDs, meditation mats and cushions.
