Starting in a warm bubble, like a womb, I find ways to see deeply into how I belong. I recollect how the Buddha must have felt when touching the earth to receive her recognition. I imagine he sees that her breath is one and the same as his breath.

I take that sense of safety and belonging as a way to deepen my appreciation of impermanence and all it teaches me, like how this precious sense of connection is available to me...

Maitripala is an Order member in Australia. When I met her a couple of years ago, she told me of her plans to embark on a pilgrimage along the east coast of Australia to volunteer for different Triratna Buddhist Groups and Centres.
