The second wave of covid is causing poverty, distress and death in India. Very sadly we have lost several members of the Order to covid in recent days. Currently 15 Order members are unwell with covid to the point of needing medicines and / or oxygen. With public health supplies running low, these things need to be paid for privately. We want to send £150 to each of these Order members to give them this ability.

People to People Nagpur runs project at Mumbai with Adhorekit Trust in Bhandup Slums for poor children. This project is response to Covid-19 and Lockdown crisis. The children are getting an opportunity beside the railway track compound on footpath. Here we are still running an activity to check the Oxygen and temperature at our Education Hut. At our Bhandup Mumbai project which is opened for the Ghaswale Community children (migrants from Karnataka), on the occasion of Savitribai Fule Birth Anniversary we inaugurated Sunday Special Children’s Cafe where they start from reciting Preamble’s reading, sing motivational songs, play and stories which help them aware what responcible civilian can do and end with National Anthem.
In this Cafe, children join and enjoy to spend time with each other, develop their friendship also build up stage daring.
We celebrated the Savitribai Fule’s Birth Anniversary at our Gagdebaba Learning Club at Amravati Project with parents and students. The Savitribai is a great revolutionary for the women’s education. She opened First School for women in India in the time when women were not allowed education.
On this occasion we distributed Educational Material to the children for study. Abhayanavita talked on Savitribai’s life and work. Sarika Patil who is Shikshanmitra (Friend of Education) organized this event.
