Green Tara Nepal appeal reaches £35,000

Just before Nepal’s second earthquake, director Karunamati wrote from the Green Tara Trust:

“Thank you, everyone, for your ongoing and generous support. It is having an incredible effect both on the moral of the Nepalese team, as well as giving much needed hope to the local community in Pharping where we work.”

Karunamati is a Triratna Order member and doctor working for Green Tara Trust, working with mothers and children in Nepal. Following our piece yesterday - reposted to various Facebook sites and viewed by thousands of people - she writes from London to thank you for your donations for their earthquake relief work.

Follow Saturday’s severe earthquake in Nepal, donations are urgently needed.

Green Tara Trust is a healthcare charity working with mothers and children in Nepal, run by British members of the Triratna Buddhist Order, including Karunamati, known locally as “Dr Jane”.
