Buddhist Action Month 2020: For the Earth 🌍

Buddhist Action Month (BAM) - an annual festival of social action overseen by the Network of Buddhist Organisations - has been taking place every June since 2012. This year is no exception, despite the changed circumstances, with sanghas going online to offer opportunities to engage with this year’s theme - “…for the Earth”, where the suggestion is to put this phrase in the title of any event that’s being organised for BAM 2020.

It is sad to inform you that Dhammacharini Kshantipriya passed away yesterday afternoon; she was 70 years old and living in Ghatkopar, Mumbai.

A few days ago her husband passed away and due to high blood pressure she died yesterday. She was very honest and hardworking and put lots of effort in her going for refuge process and getting ordained into Triratna.

She was ordained 12th March 2016; Jnanasuri was her private preceptor and Karunamaya did her Public ordination ceremony. She was doing Shakyamuni Sadhana...

Vajrasadhu died on the morning of 26th May, after four weeks in hospital following a stroke. He was 74. Though incapacitated, he was able to communicate minimally with his wife Padmavasini. But despite periods where his health seemed to rally slightly, hopes for a positive outcome diminished as time under intensive treatment took its toll.
