Pétales

From Espace Sangha de Paris on Sun, 5 Jun, 2016 - 20:52

Community Sundays - Imagining Your Practice

From Portsmouth Buddhist Center on Fri, 3 Jun, 2016 - 21:54

The role of imagination in our Dharma practice is crucial but can generally be under-explored and even under-appreciated in the face of all the things we think we’re supposed to be doing. Whether you’re meditating, or trying to engage with the thorny issues that arise in just trying to apply mindfulness and loving kindness in your life every day, bringing an active imaginative element to practice can make all the difference when it comes to keeping things vital and deeply inspiring.

Natural Dharma > Work that Reconnects in Oaks Woods (Peak District)

From Earth Metta Sangha on Wed, 1 Jun, 2016 - 22:03

Buddhist Action Month began for some members of the Sheffield sangha on Sunday May 29, with Work that Reconnects in a wonderful woodland setting. It was the first proper event hosted by Kuladitya and Cecilie in their woodland (and gorgeous yurt!), which they are slowly but surely restoring from Pine plantation to Oak woodland. Whereas only a few months ago the ground was covered by Bracken and Brambles, now it was dappled with Bluebells, Stichwort, and more delicate Lady Ferns. Well done,...

Training In A System of Buddhist Practice

From Community Highlights on Wed, 1 Jun, 2016 - 18:34

Dhammamegha recently interviewed Dhammarati for the Triratna International Council about an emerging project around the system of training in Triratna. Here, Dhammarati reflects on what is essential in Buddhist practice: a growth of awareness which leads to positive and rich emotion...
