A bit of a fright ......

Recently I had a high blood pressure reading from my doctor. It gave me a bit of a fright. I’m used to having a reading that sits right down in the healthy range. The only significant change in my regime has been a complete loss of daily cardio vascular exercise as a result of ceasing full time teaching work at the end of 2015 and losing the 45 minute cycle workout of the return trip from Coogee to Bellevue Hill.

As we reported over the holidays, on 21st December 2016, Triratna’s founder Sangharakshita went into hospital suffering with pneumonia. At the age of 91 this could have been very serious; however, making a good recovery he was able to return home to Adhisthana on New Year’s Eve.

On 30th December he released this public statement to the Order, reflecting on aspects of his life and his relationship to Triratna:
