This is to let everyone know that Satyanatha (Robert Evans), from Cambridge, UK, has decided to resign from the Order. He has not been engaged or involved for some years. He is still a Buddhist and continues to practise, but has ceased to think of himself as an Order member. He would like to continue using the name Satyanatha when appropriate.

BAM has begun at the North London Buddhist Centre

This year for Buddhist Action Month we will be collecting goods for a local homeless charity and our local food bank.

All of our Sangha Nights will be BAM themed. We kicked off the month with an Amoghasiddhi ritual led by Satyapurna. Next week we will have Sanghasiha on Deep Ecology. The following week will be Akashamitra on the work of the Karuna Trust in Inida and Nepal. We will end the month with a closing ritual led by Visuddhimati.

I’d sum up my experience with the Triratna system of practice as ‘It works!’. My first response to reading Satyadhana’s article ‘Understanding Paticca Samuppada’ was to feel the foundations undermined and the second was to start reflecting on what I meant by ‘it works’.
