Many of Sangharakshita’s core books and some books of his disciples have been translated into a range of languages over the years.
The main rituals and ceremonies used in the Triratna Buddhist Community are translated into many languages, mainly where there is som Triratna activity, but you will also find some languages where there’s no Triratna activity, yet. See below for various language-based groups, and do join any that you are interested in. The aim is to translate the same texts into all languages, to begin with: The Dedication Ceremony, The Refuges and Five Precepts, The Threefold Puja. If you want further information on a language or Triratna’s presence in a specific country, there might be a link in the group to the main website in each country. You can also write to the email below or search this site.
Here are the languages (underlined) where we’ve got some translation in, so far. Just click on the underlined language to read more:

Translation projects
In time we may include other materials in different languages, such as introductions to the mindfulness of breathing and metta-bhavana meditations, basic Buddhism and an introduction to the Triratna Buddhist Community and how it works. And also a follow-on project with audio recordings read or chanted by native speakers – please let us know if you’d like to contribute to that.
Translation projects have received more support and attention in recent years, especially since 2011 when a group of European Chairs spearheaded a Translation Fund as part of the European Chairs Assembly (ECA) and its Development Fund (This was before FutureDharmaFund). A few years ago it changed into the International Triratna Translations Board (ITTB) and you can read more about translations here.
The Coordinator of the ITTB (at present, Viryabodhi) manages these pages and we’d like to gratefully acknowledge the support we get from FutureDharmaFund and the ECA.
BOOK AND PDF
The texts from most of the above languages have been assembled by Lokabandhu into a handsome hardback book, ‘Buddhist Ceremonies in Many Languages’. At present the BOOK IS BEING UPDATED AND REVISED. It will be made available at Lulu again in the autumn, and also as a pdf.
