Vishvapani has been the Buddhist contributor to BBC Radio 4’s ‘Thought for the Day’ on the popular Today programme, giving 9-10 talks a year. He also gives several talks a year in a similar slot on Radio Wales. The BBC recently asked him to do a series of talks in their ‘Prayer for the Day’ slot - a slot which has come into its own in the last year as issues in the news have have directly impacted everyone’s lives.

Vishvapani gave a series of talks in 2011 to promote his book Gautama Buddha: The Life and Teachings of the Awakened One (Quercus, 2011).

Here we have a glimpse into the Buddha’s ability to dialogue with kindness and curiosity as he radiated a force field of loving kindness in a society full of debate and discourse. Vishvapani is a writer, teacher of Buddhism and meditation, and a trainer in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR/MBCT) through Mindfulness in Action. He’s also an Associate of Breathworks Mindfulness and of The Mindfulness Initiative, supporting the Mindfulness All Party Parliamentary Group in the UK parliament and advocating mindfulness to the Welsh Government.
