Some of you will already be familiar with Kulananda’s book, Teachers of Enlightenment, which has been out of print for quite a while now.

We have been waiting for the opportunity to make some important additions, and so we are very excited to announce that the wait has finally come to an end. This week, we are releasing a new and updated edition of Teachers of Enlightenment: The Refuge Tree of the Triratna Buddhist Order.

We recently ran a retreat with Buddhafield exploring the symbolism of the ‘Going for Refuge and Prostration Practice’. I say we… it was meant to be Vajratara and Karunadhi from Tiratanaloka, but Karunadhi couldn’t come so it ended up being just Vajratara from Tiratanaloka, with Darsavini, Amaragita, Dayajoti and Viryanaya. This month the annual international College meeting was a complex hybrid affair, taking place partly in person at Adhisthana, and partly online. Akasajoti came up with a schedule that not only took into account the different time zones, but also maximised crossover by shuffling us into different configurations; she even set up interactive zoom screen in the shrine room that meant we could all see and hear each other.
