The Buddha tells us “Mindfulness of in-&-out breathing, when developed & pursued, is of great fruit, of great benefit.” (MN 118)

This day workshop will explore how we might develop and pursue mindfulness of in and out breathing using the techniques laid out by the Buddha in the Anapanasati Sutta.

Viriyagita led the evening beginning with the Metta Bhavana (Development of Loving-Kindness) meditation where we visualized ourselves meditating under the Bodhi tree in the vicinity of the Buddha. After meditation we listened to stories from the life of the Buddha.
