I am Gunaketu and I am inspired to do more to help build “a new society” - based on truthfulness and sustainability - so very much in demand these days!

After helping build the Manchester Buddhist Centre I started the Oslo Buddhistsenter in 2000 which is now a thriving little centre with 9 men and women preparing for ordination.

To help promote social and ecological sustainability I want to write a doctorial thesis and a book. It will combine six articles already published and compare...

A New Buddhist Centre in Oslo, Norway

We are very excited to let you know about our search for a new buddhist centre in Oslo.

We want it to express all three Cs: Centre, Community and Co-operative, as described in the video.

The order members in Oslo, Muditadevi, Sraddhapa and Gunaketu will all buy parts of the building and offer this as security against the mortgage of the remaining building which is the Oslo Buddhistsenter. Later, the Oslo Buddhistsenter will buy back these parts to make use of the whole building.
