With great sadness we inform you of the passing away of Urgyen Sangharakshita, today, 30th October 2018, at approximately 10 am in Hereford Hospital. He had been diagnosed with pneumonia and this morning the consultant said that he also had sepsis, from which recovery was not possible.

Please join with us as we direct our metta towards Bhante, recollecting his wonderful qualities and remembering with gratitude all that he has given to so many of us. Local Centres around the world may...

There seem to be more and more funerals happening at Triratna Buddhist Centres. This trend, sadly, is likely to continue indefinitely. The London Buddhist Centre have produced a very useful Guide to Funerals at the LBC which can be downloaded here.

Some of the names and businesses referred to may have changed since this was produced.

By Munisha on Tue, 14 Oct, 2014 - 09:37The funeral and celebration of Aryamati’s life will take place on Monday 20th October at 4pm at the Manchester Buddhist Centre, UK. (See below.) There will be refreshments and food at the Buddhist Centre after the celebration.
Everyone is welcome to attend this event. Please dress colourfully.

Holidays, Poems, Shrines and Sangha Night

I already felt lucky to be in this community during the ups and downs of the last year or so, and now some very generous friends have given me a holiday in Kauai - leaving tomorrow, back next Tuesday. I can’t tell you how great it feels to be looking forward to something like this.
