Akasasuri, Dayapadma, Jayavajri and Mokshagandhi write with funeral details, from Vajragita’s community, Subhavana, in Amsterdam:

“This notice is about Vajragita but our hearts are also with the friends and family of Navachitta; two deaths so close to one another of two precious people.

Vajragita is ‘laid out’ at home with us in her own bed, in her own room.

On Thursday 4th December we would like to be with as many people as possible at Metta Vihara retreat centre for a puja and rejoicing in her merits. If you want to you can bring a flower to offer in the puja; Vajragita loved flowers.

You are all wholeheartedly invited from 11.00 onwards; the ceremony will start at 11.30. It may last till 16.00 as we want to give it all it needs. There will be a simple lunch around 13.00, after which the ceremony will continue. You may come to the morning or the afternoon or both. If you’re planning to come for the afternoon, please try to arrive around 13.30. At 16.00 we (her community members) and possibly some family members, will make our way to the crematorium at Terneuzen.

On Monday 1st December, 18.30-20.30, and on Tuesday 2nd December, 16.00-18.00, you are more than welcome to come to our community in Amsterdam, Subhavana, to say a final goodbye to Vajragita’s body.

We would love to see you on Thursday at Metta VIhara. To give us some idea how many people to expect, akasa [at] mettavihara.nl (please email Akasasuri) if you are thinking of coming.

With much love,
Akasasuri, Dayapadma, Jayavajri and Mokshagandhi”
