Urgent Appeal for 66 Order members in India

Dear Friends,

The second wave of covid is causing poverty, distress and death in India. Very sadly we have lost several members of the Order to covid in recent days. Currently 15 Order members are unwell with covid to the point of needing medicines and / or oxygen. With public health supplies running low, these things need to be paid for privately. We want to send £150 to each of these Order members to give them this ability.

Dear brothers and sisters

I am very sad to inform you that Dhammachari Shakyaditya from Mumbai passed away this morning around 9.30 am. He was 76 years old and was hospitalised for coronavirus treatment. 

Dhammachari Shakyaditya was ordained on 19th June 2011.  Dhammachari Adityabodhi was his private preceptor and Amoghasiddhi was his public preceptor.

He was living in Mulund in Mumbai and due to his old age it was difficult for him to keep regular contact with the Sangha. Dhammachari...

With much sadness, I would like to inform you of the death of Dhammachari Achalacitta. He died around 12.00pm today, 17th April. For the last few days, he was in hospital receiving treatment for coronavirus and was on a ventilator.

I am very sorry to inform you of the death of Dhammachari Mahajeta from Pune. He passed away on the 16th April 2021 around 12.00pm. He was 74 years old. He had corona virus and his family members are also suffering from the virus.

He was a senior Order member and contributed to establishing the Pune Camp Centre. He was a mitra convener for many years and had good relations among the order and was well known in the mitra convening network. He was...
