European Chairs' Assembly winter meeting at Adhisthana

From Triratna News on Fri, 8 Jan, 2016 - 21:24

The Chairs of Triratna’s centres and other enterprises in Europe are meeting this week at Adhisthana, for the first of the European Chairs’ Assembly’s two annual meetings this year.

After reporting in and a very inspiring day studying the Pure Land Sutras with Ratnaguna, they are hard at work, looking at their attitudes to money, hearing presentations from selected centres (this week it’s Taraloka and Guhyaloka) and playing table tennis.

They’ve also had a presentations on the Young Buddhist project, using news media to promote...

The London Buddhist Magazine - Spring 2016

From Community Highlights on Fri, 8 Jan, 2016 - 16:19

It is possible for us to realise Wisdom and Compassion fully – but to do that we need the challenging and supportive context of a spiritual community. I hope this new edition of our magazine and programme give...

Mort de Chatrul Sangye Dorje

From Espace Sangha de Paris on Thu, 7 Jan, 2016 - 21:19

Death Of Chatral Sangye Dorje

From Triratna News on Tue, 5 Jan, 2016 - 21:39

Chatral Sangye Dorje (also variously spelled Chetrul or Chetrul), the last surviving of Sangharakshita’s teachers, was born in 1913 and died on 31st December.

This is an excellent, at times very funny, introduction to him by Karunamati, who was fortunate enough to meet with him in Nepal as part of her medical work there with the Green Tara Trust

At the time this talk was given the great Tibetan Master - one of Sangharakshita’s eight main teachers - was 93 years old and...
