A year ago, someone rejoiced in my merits – and those of College members generally – as they put it: ‘out of the blue’. He said he was following up an intention to express gratitude when he felt it, and I’d like to take this opportunity to respond ‘in kind’.

UK: opportunity to become a Buddhist prison chaplain

Angulimala Prison Chaplaincy, which provides the UK Ministry of Justice (MoJ) with Buddhist prison chaplains, seeks to recruit new chaplains.

Though some are volunteers, most UK Buddhist prison chaplains are paid by the MoJ on a part time, sessional basis.

You must be practising the five precepts and willing to teach Buddhism to people from different Buddhist schools and traditions.
