Buddhafield Festival is a joyful gathering of people, celebrating community and connection with the land. Song, dance, arts and crafts, yoga, meditation, and play blend together, without alcoholic drinks or recreational drugs, to create a loving and life-affirming space. There will be Buddhist teaching, workshops and ritual, under sun and stars. The festival is family-friendly and open to everyone, however you practice.

The theme for 2023 is ‘Liberation Through Imagination’.

Each year for the past 40 years Triratna Buddhists have engaged with the transformative dharma practice of fundraising on a Karuna Appeal. Where we live together in community, practicing right livelihood by fundraising for The Karuna Trust.

We’re looking for a volunteer to provide temporary, part-time customer service cover while Helen, who normally covers that aspect of the business, is on leave.

Initially, we need cover for 8th–15th May 2020. This will involve up to 12 hours’ work (up to 2 hours per weekday; timing flexible). You’ll be working from home – or wherever you like! All you’ll need is a computer and an Internet connection.

It was hard to explain to my friends what I was doing for six weeks. I flippantly described my volunteer work at Karuna as a mixture of meditation, group therapy and telesales. Whilst this depiction clearly undersold my experience, on the surface the job did primarily involve calling up Karuna supporters and asking them to increase their donations – an activity undertaken by numerous charities.
