A team of people have been working joyfully to prepare and set everything up. Each day’s work was started with this dedication-ceremony, created by Polly from verses about Padmasambhava, which expresses the spirit of creating the event and welcoming people to it.

The Triratna International Gathering 2019 starts on Thursday with the theme this year being ‘Alchemy of the Dharma’. There’ll be Dharma talks on transforming self and world, an event on ‘Bhante as alchemist’ with Maitreyabandhu, family friendly activities, workshops on poetry and painting, classical music concerts, plenty of opportunities to meet and make friends over Buddhafield chai and much more.

In Triratna, our system of practice is a dynamic mandala of five principles. We progressively integrate mind and body, samatha and vipassana, and discover the power of skilful and positive mental states. Then, directly penetrating and dispelling our delusions, we open ever-more to the wonder of what is. Thus, at last, we can wake up to and be who and what we truly are.

Booking is now open for the 2019 Triratna International Gathering which will take place at Adhisthana, UK, from 22-26 August! This biennial event brings together large numbers of the Triratna Buddhist Community from around Europe for a feast of inspiration, stimulation and fun. All are welcome, including children.
