Chair's Letter – February 2024

By Vajrashura on Thu, 29 Feb, 2024 - 23:59

This month’s letter is written by Vajrashura, who first came across Triratna in Ireland, in 1999, at the age of 22. He was ordained in 2007 in Guhyaloka by Kulananda, and since 2009 has been the men’s Mitra Convenor for Dublin where he lives in a men’s community. He now also works for the Sikkha Project on a part-time basis and joined the College in 2020.

A Stream of Spiritual Energy, by Subhuti

By Oliviahinde on Mon, 26 Jun, 2023 - 10:30

There is a powerful quotation in the talk given by Bhante at the LBC on Padmasambhava Day in 1979. He says somewhere that our centres, our communities, and our co-ops, are all ways of contacting different aspects of life and transforming them, because this is essentially what our movement is about. “It’s not simply a Buddhist movement in the narrow sense, or even a spiritual movement in the narrow sense. It’s a stream of spiritual energy that deeply transforms...

'Meeting the Buddhas' returning soon!

By Windhorse Publi... on Thu, 6 Oct, 2022 - 15:07

Originally published in 1993, Vessantara’s Meeting the Buddhas rapidly attained the status of a classic not only within Triratna, but also in the wider Buddhist world. Out of print since 2008, it’s been carefully revised and updated, and in December we’ll be releasing a brand-new edition. The new cover was designed by Akasajoti, and many of the images that illustrate the text are new.

Free the Dharma - Mind in Harmony by Subhuti

By dhammamegha on Mon, 11 May, 2020 - 13:21

This is the eighth week that we’ll be sharing a weekly e-book. When we started in March, it seemed likely that it would be something we’d do for a month or two at the most. Yet here we are, two months later, and this new future stretches before us.

This week we’re giving away Subhuti’s Mind in Harmony: the psychology of Buddhist ethics. You can download it free here until 25 May. You can also buy a paper copy here
