A life lived knowing change and directing change by taking responsibility for ourselves as agents of karma, a life lived helping others to also do this and come together to transform the world around us so that it upholds and encourages the highest values.

Douglas Hastings was re-admitted to the Order. Having previously been ordained as Ajitasena and later resigned, he retains the same name, which means ‘He who cannot be conquered’.

At Padmaloka on 1st October 2015:

James Wilde became Dharmadhira, a Sanskrit name meaning ‘Steadfastness in the Dharma’. (Long ‘i’)

Gary Schooler becomes Amalavacha - “He who speaks from the Sspotless”.

Richard Weeden becomes Garavachitta - “He whose mind turns to reverence”.

Their private preceptor was Mahasraddha; their public preceptor Saddhaloka.
