This year Padmaloka once again hosted the Surlingham village festival, as we do every other year.
The day was a resounding success, despite the threat of rain which in the end never fully materialised (much gratitude to the nagas for their part in this). In this talk Sanghanistha shares his reflections on one of Sangharakshita’s aphorisms and how this acts as a blueprint for a life that embodies the archetype of the king. A life lived knowing change and directing change by taking responsibility for ourselves as agents of karma, a life lived helping others to also do this and come together to transform the world around us so that it upholds and encourages the highest values.

We’ve been hosting Men’s Event weekends here at Padmaloka for nearly 40 years. These events are an excellent opportunity for men to come together and practice the Dharma in a more focused and wholehearted way than is often possible in day to day life.
