Rocket Fuel for the Dharma Life: Doing a Karuna Appeal

Posted by Sadayasihi to Triratna News on Wed, 22 Aug, 2018 - 17:20

Prajnaketu, Triratna’s Young Buddhist Co-ordinator, is on his first Karuna Appeal! He’s been sharing how it’s been going on the Young Buddhist blog

A Karuna appeal is an opportunity to practise generosity and live in a Buddhist community while also raising money to help support and empower India’s Dalit community.

Prajnaketu has been sharing his experiences during the appeal: knocking on that first door to help raise money for projects in India, getting his first Standing Order, and...

2015 breaks Karuna's fundraising records

Posted by Munisha to Triratna News on Wed, 10 Feb, 2016 - 12:21

Thanks to its “amazing” Buddhist volunteer fundraisers, in 2015 Triratna’s Karuna Trust had the best fundraising year in its 35-year history.

Karuna’s head of fundraising, Steven Murdoch, writes: “In a year when the UK charity sector was widely criticised for some dubious fundraising practices, Karuna had its most successful fundraising season ever. This means we are on course to send over £1M to our project partners working with persecuted dalit and tribal communities in India and Nepal.”

Glasgow Karuna Appeal: BAM 2015

Hello! Sarah here writing on behalf of the Glasgow 2015 Women’s Karuna Appeal.
