By Candradasa on Tue, 5 Mar, 2013 - 10:46
Another ‘Buddhist Voices’ episode from the end of the Triratna Buddhist Order Convention 2013 at Bodh Gaya in India. A pretty fantastic discussion with two ‘dharinis’ - young, inspired Indian Dharmacharinis who speak boldly about the challenges faced by women practising the Dharma in India.

A wonderful conversation too around issues of leadership and taking one’s place in the sangha in order to come alive and help others. Very exciting listening!

Recorded at Bodh Gaya, India,...

Lokamitra - The Sangha and the Structure of Social Change

By Candradasa on Sun, 3 Mar, 2013 - 16:17
Lokamitra is the ideal person to talk about the amazing transformative influence of the Dharma on people’s lives. Looking at both Sangharakshita’s teaching on Buddhism and ‘The New Society’ and Dr. Ambedkar’s Dhamma revolution,...

Live blogging from Triratna’s International Council in India

By lokabandhu on Thu, 21 Feb, 2013 - 14:21It’s been a quiet period for Triratna News recently, with just one bulletin in the past three weeks. India Boo No. 6 - Lokamitra on the future in India

By Candradasa on Wed, 20 Feb, 2013 - 18:22
A very special extended edition of the podcast with Lokamitra, one of the first generation of Order members and founder of so much of the Triratna Movement in India. A chance then, on a day of explorations around leadership and the future, to turn our attention to India. Any conversation with Lokamitra tends to the fascinating and this is no exception. Much to ponder, and a chance to celebrate a complex, generous man whose work has benefitted so...

Buda + Yo

By Vajranatha on Wed, 20 Feb, 2013 - 10:24Nagaloka, Nagpur

It is relatively quiet here. (Just wedding music playing in the evenings and the constant pipping of horns in the middle distance on the Kamptee Road.) It is also very beautiful – well kept open spaces with lawns and flower gardens, purpose built buildings and the massive walking bronze Buddha overlooking it all. So I’m aware that I haven’t yet really seen India yet, that will come later. But it is an amazing location for the second...
