Music at the Buddhafield Festival!

By Centre Team on Sun, 7 Jul, 2013 - 19:20
One of the best features of the Buddhafield Festival is its music scene. Day and (especially!) night you can hear a wonderfully eclectic range of live performances, with plenty of spontaneous jams and happenings around the fringes too.

See the full line-up below for the live music programme or over on the main Buddhafield website.

Today’s little taster features The Turbans, who’ll be playing traditional folk music from Egypt, Yemen, Turkey, Israel, Ireland, all the way...
The SoundCloud content at https://soundcloud.com/the-turbans/boli-boli-1 is not available, or it is set to private.

Buddhafield eBooks - Akasati: Ecology, Buddhism and Buddhafield, An Introduction

By Candradasa on Thu, 23 May, 2013 - 19:27Well, as expected, the internet gods were (quite properly!) no match for the secret realm where Buddhafield’s Green Earth Awakening Camp is gathering for the weekend Dharma festivities. N.B. It’s not too late to join them!

In the meantime, we’ll continue to give you a little bit of...

Here he talks about his own history with Buddhafield since the mid ’90s, evoking the spirit of its great experiment and the people who have been undertaking it together as an extended community. He also...

Buddhafield Launch Green Earth Awakening - This Weekend!

By lokabandhu on Wed, 22 May, 2013 - 19:03
Today on Buddhafield Week we want to start focussing on the community and the land. Coming up over the next few days we have a new interview with Kamalashila as President, and we’re hoping to have some interviews and reports from the field too. But as you’ll hear the mobile coverage there is very poor indeed, so some of that might not come in till next week. In which case, it may well turn into a Buddhafield Two...

Dancing Buddhas - The Story of the Buddhafield Festival (Radio Edition)

By Candradasa on Mon, 20 May, 2013 - 17:36
This is the rather wonderful audio (a bit like a radio piece in its own right) from a great video by Daniel Dobbie of angelfish films telling the story of what it takes to put on the Buddhafield Festival. A great introduction…

Daniel says: “Dancing Buddhas is a 30 minute film about the team of people who help to build one of the UK’s most eco-friendly and inspiring Buddhist led festivals. We...
