By Aryanisha on Tue, 11 Jul, 2017 - 14:32

Marking Dharma Day, the anniversary of the Buddha’s first teaching - the Turning of the Wheel of the Dharma - Ratnaprabha has re-rendered this very previous sutta.

Ratnaprabha has an excellent blog and and this latest English addition of the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta, posted a few days ago, has already attracted positive comments on social media:

“Thanks Ratnaprabha, marvellous how you render such meaningful yet everyday English from the bare bones.” Vajrapriya

“Thank you. This translation is direct and down to earth and avoids any hint of...

ALSO there will be an exhibit of original artwork by local Triratna Order Members, including a painting by Viriyalila,...

The Adhisthana community 'at home'

By akasajoti on Mon, 6 Jul, 2015 - 13:01

Dharma Day Celebration with Mitra Ceremony

By Padmakumara on Sat, 12 Jul, 2014 - 10:17Dharma Day Celebrations - Tuesday 15th July

Please join us for an auspicious celebration of the Buddha’s first discourse. Occuring two full moons after his Complete Awakening the Buddha spoke to five disciples from his time as an ascetic. One, Kondanna, woke up himself and at that moment the Buddha realised that others could understand for themselves how things really are. The rest, as they say, is history, over 2,500 years of it right up to us, here and...
