We are pleased to announce the recent ordination celebrated at Adhisthana on Thursday 28th February 2019. Helen Rey from the Seattle Sangha becomes Prasadadhi (long second ‘a’ and long ‘i’), a Sanskrit name meaning ‘She whose Wisdom is clear, bright, pure.’ Punyamala was both Private and Public Preceptor. 🎉
Other recent ordinations from around the Triratna world include Joy Fratelle from Port Fairy who was publicly ordained at Melbourne Buddhist Centre on Saturday 23rd February 2019. Joy becomes Maitrībodhinī (sixth and last letter both long ī). Her name...

Nature is for many of us an important source of spiritual nourishment in an increasingly busy world. On this retreat we combined traditional Buddhist teachings with the simple practice of spending time walking in the rich and beautiful landscapes that surround Dhanakosa.
Dhanakosa is looking for someone to join the centre team this winter or early next year. Ideally, this person will work principally as part of the house and grounds team mostly in general maintenance but also supporting the general work of the retreat centre across a range of required tasks, possibly including some office based tasks depending on skills and experience. On April 8th 2017 Triratna Day was celebrated around the world as the 50th anniversary of its founding in 1967. We visit Sheffield for the Northern English celebration, Adhisthana, Dhanakosa in Scotland and Essen for the Western European events in Germany.
Dhanakosa shares a great compilation of highlights here from their 2017 celebration of Triratna Day, with scenes from the landscape, preparations, talks, and a wonderful view of a beautiful shrine beneath the tent.
The retreat will focus on the 4 Sangrahavastus (means of unification of the sangha) - giving, loving speech, beneficial action and exemplification and is open to anyone who regularly attends classes at a Triratana group or centre in Scotland.
