Imagine a new kind of Buddhist community, a webinar on January 13th

Suvana Cohousing is Triratna’s first cohousing project, and it is going to be built just outside Cambridge. Each household will have its own private home and share community spaces. Residents will manage the community and participate in shared activities. There are opportunities for purchase or rental and it may also appeal to investors.

Suvana is entering the design stage with TOWN, the UK’s leading cohousing developer.

The community occupies the top two floors of the Nottingham Buddhist Centre building, which lies in the heart of a vibrant Nottingham city center. There has been a mens community in the building for 25+ years now and currently there are 4 young men living together (pictured: Dayajava, Connor, Rio and Zac).

Are you interested in trying out community living in Bristol? Kalyanaloka have a room free from February 12 to early May 2023 while a resident is away travelling.

The community live and practice together, share food, eat together regularly and often meditate together, as well as a weekly community night.

We are Samayakula - located just around the corner from the London Buddhist Centre in Bethnal Green. We are a women’s community of twelve GFR Mitras and Dharmacharinis, aged 28-75 with a broad range of interests including gardening, music, film, period drama, pizza, five rhythms and more. Tulip the cat is also a beloved member of our community - she can often be found dwelling on the nature of impermanence.

My name’s Mokshini. I was ordained in 1999, during a 2 week training-for-ordination retreat at Tiratanaloka. In September 2018 I moved to Berlin, and since February 2020 I’ve been living in a women’s community with five other delightful beings. I am training to be a community nurse for senior citizens; once I finish – towards the end of this year - I plan to divide my time working for a living and extending my involvement in Dharma activities.
