Fifty Years, Fifty Voices: Dhammadinna (highlights)

By Zac on Tue, 2 Aug, 2022 - 15:22

Dhammadinna Annals:

In 1968 I was 22, and recently graduated from Imperial College of Science and Technology, with a Biology degree. I was a hippy, living with my partner in the Notting Hill area, temping and making clothes, and exploring...

Hello!

We are Samayakula - located just around the corner from the London Buddhist Centre in Bethnal Green. We are a women’s community of twelve GFR Mitras and Dharmacharinis, aged 28-75 with a broad range of interests including gardening, music, film, period drama, pizza, five rhythms and more. International Women's Day 2021: Mokshini

By mokshini on Tue, 9 Mar, 2021 - 08:36

My name’s Mokshini. I was ordained in 1999, during a 2 week training-for-ordination retreat at Tiratanaloka. In September 2018 I moved to Berlin, and since February 2020 I’ve been living in a women’s community with five other delightful beings. I am training to be a community nurse for senior citizens; once I finish – towards the end of this year - I plan to divide my time working for a living and extending my involvement in Dharma activities.

Spaces in North London women’s community (UK)

By Karunagita on Mon, 8 Mar, 2021 - 20:08

We are a new community of order members and Mitras, connected with the North London Buddhist centre. The vision is to enjoy community living and provide supportive conditions for practice within busy lives, with flexible, light touch structures. The form that takes is still evolving and will be responsive to who joins us.

We are in a Georgian house divided into two flats, with space for 4-5 people. The house is quiet, comfortable and cared for, with a nice garden. We are in...
