Dharmabyte: Radical Transformation is Possible

From Free Buddhist Audio on Mon, 28 Mar, 2022 - 06:00

Radical transformation is possible if we allow Padmasambhava and all that he symbolizes to touch our lives.  Ratnaghosha encourages us to face our demons, find our cremation grounds, and free up our energies.

From the talk Demons For Every Occasion given at the Padmasambhava Day festival at the Cambridge Buddhist Centre, 2013.

From Free Buddhist Audio on Sat, 26 Mar, 2022 - 06:00

Vajratara offers a provocative, fully engaged and fully engaging take on the Dharma and the challenges that face us on the Path. We approach the great figure of Padmasambhava - the ‘Second Buddha’ - through his famous meeting with the King of Tibet. Mind and Cosmos Part 3

From Croydon Buddhist Centre on Sat, 26 Mar, 2022 - 00:00
For almost its whole history, Buddhism has presented teachings not just about the human mind, but about the whole cosmos. In this talk (the second in a series of three), Viryadeva attempts to show why an understanding of traditional Buddhist cosmology is key to an understanding of the Buddha's teachings. He also shows how it has direct, practical relevance to urgent contemporary problems.

Introducing 'The Promise of a Sacred World'

From Windhorse Publications on Wed, 23 Mar, 2022 - 07:00

Dhammamegha here. Every few years we receive a manuscript that has been growing for decades within the author; a book that breaks new ground and offers a fresh and considered engagement with one of the Buddhist classics.

Bhikkhu Anālayo did this with Satipaṭṭhāna, through his translations and commentaries on the four foundations of mindfulness. Ratnaguna and Śraddhāpa did this with practice and awakening in the Pure Land Sutras in Great Faith, Great Wisdom. In 2019 we published David...
