We were sad to hear that Tim Lilley, one of the founders of Aid for India, the charity that has since become Karuna, passed away on the 21st of December 2022.

Tim was instrumental in setting up the first Aid for India fundraising campaigns in the early 1980s, working closely with Kulamitra to introduce door-to-door fundraising into the early Movement. Dávid Chavez, José Luis Rodríguez, and Marco Velasco from the Mexico City Sangha will be ordained on a retreat at Chintamani from 6th -15th January.

The public ordination will be on Saturday 14th January at 12pm local time.

The public ordination will be transmitted in Spanish via the Buddhist Centre online.

Monday 9th January.

Dear Sangha brothers and sisters,

I am sad to inform you that Dhammachari Bodhishura died on 30th December 2022 at the age of 78. For the last few years his health was not good and recently was in the intensive care centre.

He met the Order in the early days of the movement and contributed to the Yerwada Pune centre for many years.
