I am very pleased to announce that Jarkko Lavinen from Helsinki will soon be ordained in Finland.

His private ordination will be conducted by Maharatnapriya during a retreat at Abhayaloka retreat centre.

His public ordination will take place at the Helsinki Buddhist Centre on Sunday 10th December, starting at 2pm Finnish time.

This morning we received the sad news that Achalaraja in Johannesburg has died. The cause of his death is not immediately clear, but it seems it might have been caused by a sports injury. He was 56 years old.

Achalaraja came into the movement in South Africa through his close friend Vajradhara. He was ordained at Padmaloka on 17th September 2009 and I gave him his name, mainly because of his devotion to...

Recently Dh Vimaldhamma has done solitary retreat. It was very pleasant to have him as very old friend from Ulhasnagar. Today is also Dhammic Birthday of him as all Order member of Dhamma Batch of 1994.

Similarly a mitra from Panvel center Sudarshan Gajbhiye did solitary in same period.
