Det här är ett föredrag i serien om Buddhismen och de stora frågorna, där Viryabodhi särskilt utforskar hur vi uttrycker kärlek (metta) i olika relationer i livet. Han använder strukturen i meditationen metta bhavana (odlandet av kärleksfull vänlighet), plus ett stadie för lärare, och delar också med sig av personliga upplevelser. Han går också in på olika former av kärlek, med hjälp ordböcker, wikipedia m.m. och avslutar med en dikt av Tranströmer.

It starts at 9am and there will be hour long slots throughout the day. Just turn up a few minutes before the hour and join in for as many sits as you want to. The last sit will be at 4pm.

The evening will include meditation and the devotional practice of puja.

Enter the mythic realm to explore and experience the purifying nectar of Vajrasattva – the Buddha “beyond space and time!” Vajrasattva practice is a way to purify our defilements and recognize the primordial, pure nature of the Buddha within us. The retreat will include a guided meditation, discussion, Vajrasattva puja, and chanting his mantra – perhaps 108 times!

From Triratna News on Sat, 3 Nov, 2012 - 07:51Dharmachari Devapriya died peacefully in hospital in London on Thursday November 1st at noon. He was ordained by Sangharakshita in 1981 and had played a significant part in many aspects of the Triratna Buddhist Community for over three decades, especially in establishing the very successful ‘Dharma Parents’ retreats for families and children at Buddhafield and elsewhere.

His old friends Paul Boyce, Annie Munro, Rehana, Carl Davies, Kamalashila, Satyajit, Yashobodhi, and Rosie, plus his sister Akasacitta, were with him when...
