Adhisthana’s first weekend retreat for parents took place on 8th to 10th June, led by a team of Triratna Order Members who are parents themselves – Upayavira, Maitrinita, Lilapa, and Karunagita. It was open to parents and parents-to-be, including Order Members, Mitras and those with a regular practice in the context of Triratna.

Als project voor BAM hebben we een inzameling gehouden voor Bazar54, de gratis winkel voor vluchtelingen die in het azielzoekerscentrum wonen. Dit is het resultaat: pannen, keukengerei, en vooral dekbedden en dekens waren nodig.

As a project in BAM we collected goods for Bazar54, a give away shop for the asylumseekers in the nearby centre for refugees...

Telling Buddhist Stories to Underprivileged Mexican children

Here you can see a video, made by Diana Platas, of two mitras from Cuernavaca, Olga Cuellar and Blanca García, who have begun a project in which they visit an after school club for underprivileged Mexican children and tell them stories as well as introduce some meditation. The project has been running for several months now.

A new Buddhist global project has been set up to help the Rohingya people, a million of whom are living in the world’s biggest refugee camp, Bangladesh, as a result of Buddhist-led violence in Myanmar/Burma.
