As we reported in April, London Buddhist Centre mitra Kate Grant has spent much of this year on pilgrimage – in Britain. She writes:

“In September I completed my pilgrimage: an outer journey to reflect life’s inner journeys. I set off in February, from Tooting in south London (where Sangharakshita began life), on a walk to Bhante’s home, Adhisthana, lasting 17 separate days and covering 200 miles.

Written a few thousand pounds back (when we were 50% there), this is a great Triratna News report on the fundraising for Bhante’s birthday present. Amalavajra, Triratna’s fundraiser in Europe, explains his enthusiasm.

Manchester Buddhist Centre’s exhibition: “Sangharakshita: a life in pictures” opens on 17th August, with pictures from the Clear Vision archive. They write: “To mark this spe­cial occa­sion, a set of framed pho­tos show­ing Sangharakshita’s life in its breadth and full­ness will go on dis­play in the Centre’s recep­tion area. It will then be sited more per­man­ently within the building.”

The Sangharakshita Library opens

By Munisha on Tue, 27 Jan, 2015 - 15:59Sunday 11th January saw the opening of the Sangharakshita Library at Adhisthana.

Hattie Johnson, of the Adhisthana team, writes: “About 80 people gathered to mark the opening of the Sangharakshita Library. Vajragupta welcomed us all and rejoiced in the many people who have brought the Library into being, particularly Ratnadharini, Ajjavin and Yashodeva.
