Wifi Access from January 2024

By Caroline I P on Mon, 11 Dec, 2023 - 11:00

Starting from January 2024, we are introducing a slight adjustment to our wifi accessibility during retreats. We want to create a more retreat-like atmosphere for those coming here, and so will be restricting general access to the wifi for retreatants.

Anyone attending a meeting here will still have access, as well as guests who are not here on a specific retreat. If you have a specific need for internet access during a retreat you are attending here, you can discuss it with...

New Year's Retreat (online) 28 Dec-1 Jan

This Being, That Becomes

This being, that becomes
From the arising of this, that arises.
This not being, that does not become
From the cessation of this, that ceases…
Nidanasamyutta

Reflect on the end of one year and open to the new. These words from the Buddha provide us with a potent and pithy statement of this transition – and of a central Buddhist truth of dependent arising.

Spend this valuable time of ceasing and arising on retreat with Bodhilila and the...

Buddhafield is looking for retreat team

By lotusbuddhafield on Fri, 28 Jan, 2022 - 09:46

Buddhafield is looking for retreat team, volunteer crew and cooks for Spring/Summer 2022

Our volunteers camp out on Buddhafield’s beautiful land in Devon, and work together in community to build, run and then dismantle our dana-based retreats. We share food, fireside songs and meditate together. Being part of a retreat team is a powerful experience of living simply, in community and close to nature.

The structure and atmosphere of being part of a retreat team is a combination of land-based community living, Team...

With Roots in the Sky

By Ratnadeva on Tue, 18 Jan, 2022 - 14:56

Online Meditation Retreat 23-29 January 2022

with Paramananda and Bodhilila

‘Imagine a sky, empty, spacious and pure from the beginning; the essence of the nature of mind is like this. Imagine a sun, luminous, clear, unobstructed, and spontaneously present; the nature of mind is like this. Imagine that sun shining out impartially on us and all things, penetrating all directions; the energy of mind, which is the manifestation of compassion, is like this; nothing can obstruct it and it pervades everywhere.’

Live and work at Vajrasana Retreat Centre: two new roles...

By satyadasa on Tue, 2 Nov, 2021 - 14:51

Vajrasana Retreat Centre in Suffolk has an exciting opportunity for two men to join the residential community. Successful applicants will be part of the team who look after this beautiful centre and the thousands of people who come on retreat every year.

The ideal candidates would be GFR mitras, although we would happily consider other mitras and Order members too. The growing community at Vajrasana (up to five) is a place of Sangha and kalyana mitrata. The London Buddhist Centre supports...
