Buddhafield runs a programme of camping activities mostly in the south-west of England, focused around the teaching and practise of Buddhism and Buddhist meditation in nature.
We are perhaps best known for organising our own, much-loved Buddhafield Festival and for the Buddhafield Café, which goes to festivals and fairs including Glastonbury Festival. We have an annual programme of Buddhist meditation retreat camps, including the month-long Total Immersion Retreat and our fabulous Family Friendly Retreat.
The Buddhafield Festival is currently held in the Blackdown Hills, Somerset, for five days in July. Quite apart from numerous classes introducing Buddhism and meditation, we had a live music line-up, a beautiful Healing Garden, a set of themed areas dedicated to Permaculture, Social Change and crafts. There's a legendary Kids Area … and an awesome range of workshops, including a full, daily yoga programme.
The Buddhist teaching at the Festival happens in the Dharma Parlour which has it's own space on thebuddhistcentre.com, where you'll find links to recordings of most of the talks, courtesy of Free Buddhist Audio.. We have a gallery of Buddhafield photographs on Flickr and our own Buddhafield Blog.
We are the proud owners and stewards of two beautiful pieces of land on Dartmoor and in the Blackdown Hills, both in Devon, England.
