The Buddha Broke my Heart... Buddhafield Festival videos now up

By lokabandhu on Mon, 18 Nov, 2013 - 14:43Here’s the first in a series of video talks from the 2013 Buddhafield Festival - a great talk by Dhivan entitled ‘The Buddha Broke my Heart…’. He introduces it thus: “The Buddha taught love as freedom of heart. But what if we get burned in love’s fire? This is a talk on love, betrayal and broken-heartedness”.

It was given in the Festival’s Dharma Parlour area, as part of the overall theme of the Festival...

Buddhafield releases 2013 Dharma Parlour Festival videos

By lokabandhu on Mon, 21 Oct, 2013 - 16:03
This year’s Buddhafield Festival was, once again, Triratna’s largest and most popular event of the year. It was their 18th successive Festival and all the more special as next year, for the first time ever, they will be taking a break from the festival. Their 2014 programme is currently being developed but will include a full programme of retreats and a return of the popular ‘Green Earth Awakening’ event held for the first time this year.

Meanwhile we’re...

Loving kindness is revolutionary because it has the power to radically change the way we experience ourselves and the world, helping us cultivate true happiness and genuine compassion for others. Loving-kindness is not weak or passive, but is the strength that comes from seeing the true nature of suffering...

Buddhafield celebrates 18th Festival

By lokabandhu on Fri, 16 Aug, 2013 - 05:23Last month Buddhafield hosted the 18th Buddhafield Festival - in fact their 18th in a row! The Buddhafield Festival, founded in 1996, is Triratna’s largest and most diverse event, and a much-loved part of the annual calendar for many in the Sangha. This year almost 3,000 people enjoyed five days camping in glorious Somerset summer sunshine, a rare occurrence in the UK! The theme was ‘Fire in the Heart’, which took as its inspiration a quotation from the Buddha,...
