Dancing Buddhas - The story of the Buddhafield Festival

By lokabandhu on Sun, 6 Jan, 2013 - 10:12The annual Buddhafield Festival is - by a long way - Triratna’s largest gathering outside India. It run every year since 1996 - and now has a movie about it! We go behind the scenes and try to understand how they do it, why Buddhism is so popular in...

Dharma Doorways and Dead Ends...

By lokabandhu on Tue, 7 Aug, 2012 - 10:54Another talk from the 2012 Dharma Parlour at the Buddhafield Festival - this time by Lokabandhu on the subject of ‘Dharma Doorways and Dead Ends’. As part of the theme “Doorways to Freedom” he explores the fascinating Buddhist notion of ‘near enemies’, those seductive but misleading lookalikes to authentic spiritual qualities.

Many thanks to Upeksapriya from Triratna’s ClearVision project for creating and uploading this recording.

Buddhafield Festival 2012 Underway!

By Candradasa on Fri, 13 Jul, 2012 - 13:40The Buddhafield Festival is one of the highlights of any year in the Triratna Buddhist Community’s calendar. It’s a mesmerising, inspiring, deeply moving five-day jamboree of activities in a secret realm in the heart of the English West Country. Rain or shine, it’s an unforgettable experience – a new twist on the classic British summer festivals like Glastonbury. Buddhafield has music, dance, healing spaces, wonderful food, places to talk and discuss and debate and discover – and all...
