You are very welcome to attend the funeral service for Urgyen Sangharakshita. We are expecting large numbers. For the many not able to attend, we are hoping to provide live streaming of the funeral and burial but please note that, for technical reasons, we cannot guarantee this will be possible.

I was invited to write the following little memoir as a contribution to a possible booklet to be published for Bhante’s funeral. Plans then changed, so it now seems fitting to post it on the Remembrance page for the Book of Gratitude.

Bhante’s body is now at Adhisthana. He arrived yesterday afternoon (Thursday) and around 60 Order members, Mitras and friends from the Adhisthana mandala (the community, people here on meetings etc and local sangha) gathered to welcome him back.
